One Room, Three Budgets: A Sophisticated Boho Bedroom

It’s a fact. The more blissful your bedroom decor, the better your beauty rest. So why is it that the room most closely related to our R&R is often the one that needs the most TLC? Well we’ve got some news that will help you rest easily: You don’t need bank to bed down in style. We tasked designer Carolynne Kelly with creating a sophisticated boho oasis at three different price points. Which is your fave?

With a limited budget of $2,000, it’s best to work with what you’ve got and come up with a clear game plan for spending.

“Make sure to focus on a clear distribution of budget! Don’t spend half of your money on a dresser. Make sure everything falls under the same line of style, quality and price. Bold color and pattern in textiles and artwork provides this space with depth and dimension,” Carolynne says.

For $5,000

Though a healthy budget of $5,000 won’t allow you to splurge on everything, it’ll give you the ability to purchase that statement piece you’ve been coveting. “Mid-line budgets give us a little room for splurging! Got your eye on a fabulous, but a bit expensive area rug? Make room for it! Glimmering gold accents and a statement bohemian chandelier give this space style while still staying in line with our budget,” Carolynne says.

For $10,000

And while most people don’t have a cool $10k lying around, a big budget will afford you the luxury of not having to compromise comfort for style (or vice versa). In this iteration of her design, “Large scale artwork draws your eye up towards the high ceilings, while a bold patterned kilim area rug grounds the look with all of its vintage charm,” Carolynne says.
